8 – In A Lonely Place

Named after a line in an obscure ‘Warcloud’ verse from the song ‘Woodchuck’, this was probably the second fully-formed track ever made in the Battle Chess era after Blind Cash.

The vocal samples are of course all from the mighty ‘Space Camp’ which is one of the strongest movie flops of all time. The doom ‘n gloom cold war chat in the middle-8 was timed completely by fluke and needed (in your writers humble opinion) no alteration or editing at all. The lo-fi quality of the clips even sounds fitting given the cold feel of the track.

And with a bonus clip of a very young and very smug Joaquin Phoenix, followed by the original dialogue in all its glory
